In the Appendices to the article a new reading 3, : 53 – 13 : 52 of 4 Q433 ( 4 QHodayot - like Text A ) is provided, and noun patterns ending with – ya in the Hebrew of the Scrolls and in biblical Hebrew are discussed . The author contends that the so - called “Self - Glorification Hymn” is a thanksgiving to God, who lifts up the poor ones, setting them on par with the angels .
