In addition to being a unifying symbol, the flag became a central instrument of expression of the movement atmosphere, accompanying its evolution and events, big and small, along its century - long path . The flags were embroidered and drawn by young women and young men who were members of the movement, not so much as an artistic work standing on its own merits, but rather as a primarily symbolic expression of the commitment to the narrative of the movement, for the group, for the age group, or for a special event for which the flags were created .
