Architecture students respond to the existing situation at "Sha'ar HaCarmel " and the Carmelit station "Gan Ha'em , " Haifa July-August 2014 The Munio Gitai Weinraub Architecture Museum , Haifa Rachel Sukman An exhibition of projects by students from the Department of Architecture at the Neri Bloomfield School of Design and Education intrigued me as soon as I entered the space : I was confronted with fresh architectural works that challenged the brutalist building style which became prevalent in Israel in the 1950 s . The exhibition is the result of a fruitful collaboration between the Department and the Munio Gitai Weinraub Architecture Museum , both in Haifa . A modest sign , as befitting the old days , indicates the museum's location . The entrance is in a small , intimate yard to which visitors descend from the street .
