Avner Sher : A Bird On a Wire Bar David Museum , Kibbutz Baram Curator : Sol Lenzini 19 July – 19 November 2014 Avner Sher's work carries the sorrow of the world ( Weltschmerz ) . At first sight , the monochromatic sheets or three-dimensional obelisks do not surrender the burden of their heavy baggage . The beauty of the works does not attest to the emotional storm which brought them into being . A total unloading of rage and insult is the first layer on which , via Sisyphean work , every unanswered question builds up , every enigmatic image which seeks to clarify the one preceding or following it . The first layer is the place where Sher is lured into the adventure of destruction and violation of order , as if he were striving to shatter conventions , to disobey , to lose control , to give in to the fracture .
