Students taking into account three years of military serviceobtain their Bachelor's degrees at twenty-three or twenty-four ; if they proceed to the second degree , they obtain their Master's degrees at twenty-five or twenty-six and some of their most creative years in the natural sciences and in mathematics will be over before they even begin their careers . I would make a plea for gifted students to be enabled to commence their studies earlier so that they could obtain their academic degrees at an earlier age .
