Gal Weinstein Huleh Valley

Gal Weinstein Huleh Valley Curator : Ellen Ginton Tel Aviv Museum of Art , Helena Rubinstein Pavilion for Contemporary Art October - December 2005 Huleh Valley , a project by Gal Weinstein ( b . 1970 ) , extends 0 ו /&/ two floors at the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion for Contemporary Art - the entrance floor and the first floor . The exhibition , whose preparation took approximately one year , was made-to-measure specifically for this site . The project is akin to a remake of images appropriated from Peter Merom ' s well-known , nostalgic historical album of photographs , The Death of the Lake ( 1960 ) . The book , which produced some of the visual images that have acquired a mythological status in the Zionist narrative of the State of Israel ( valley , land and swamp ) , was highly popular in the 1960 s and adorned the bookcases in many homes .  אל הספר
