] * 10 [ Ginzei Haim The first Hebrew article describes the lives of survivor children in the “Bnei Akiva” youth village at Deszk, from its establishment in the spring of 1945 to its close by the communists in the summer of 1 4 . It discusses the initial preparations to open the village and the difficulties to manage it . In Deszk there was a particular atmosphere of happiness, forgetting the horrors of the Holocaust . The leaders of the village emphasized Jewish education, including the studies of Jewish history, the history of the land of Israel, and the study of the Hebrew language . Due to such good preparation, graduate members of Deszk attained a successful absorption when they arrived in Israel and became good citizens of the country . The second part of the book deals with rescue operations of christian organizations during the war . The Nazis persecuted not only Jews, but christians as well .
