Zev Garber Moshe Pelli brought Hebrew language , literature , and culture to University of Central Florida ) UCF ( and also established the interdisciplinary Judaic Studies Program ) JSP ( offered in the College of Arts and Humanities . JSP enables students to acquire a foundation of knowledge of Jewish history ; the Hebrew language ; Jewish philosophy , culture , religious beliefs , and political aspirations ; and to understand the contribution of Judaism to western civilization . Additionally , a distinguished lecture series of guest speakers are invited yearly to campus to offer lectures related to aspects of Jewish civilization pursued in the academic program .
