Mark Young , MD Introduction Technology and robotics have come to play a critically important role in the rehabilitation of patients with disability and chronic disease . With the aging of the population and the growing number of persons with chronic disabilities , assisted technology has greatly improved the quality of life of people recovering from disabilities and has enabled them to achieve meaningful occupational achievement in the workplace .
